Asian and world youth champion in athletics in the triple jump, winner of the Islamic Solidarity Games Sharifa Davronova was recognized by the Asian Athletics Association as the best young athlete of the year.

This has been reported by the National Olympic Committee.

The award was presented to the athlete by the Vice-President of the Asian Athletics Association, Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan Athletics Federation Andrey Abduvaliyev.

As it was noted at the event, one of the most important competitions for Sharifa Davronova in the current sports season is the Asian Summer Games.
