Shanghai hosted a business forum with the participation of Samarkand and Shanghai entrepreneurs. More than 100 Samarkand entrepreneurs and regional officials attended it.

“At the initiative of the leaders of Uzbekistan and China, bilateral ties in various fields are consistently and successfully developing between our countries”, E. Turdimov noted. “The current meeting became the next step towards developing a strategic partnership. At the same time, cooperation between Shanghai and Samarkand region is becoming increasingly active. This visit aims to discuss new opportunities for business partnerships with regions of China”.

As part of the business forum, the Hokim of Samarkand region held several meetings with the heads of large companies. At a meeting with the heads of Shanghai Mastimes Electrical Technology, Tiankou Group, and ZTE, views were exchanged on cooperation in manufacturing modern electrical products, building materials, and information technology.
