First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Chairperson of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, member of the Bureau of the Executive Committee of World Aquatics, Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, was awarded the APC Asian Awards.
The award was given for her significant contributions to promoting equality, inclusion, and the rights of people with disabilities, as well as for developing and popularizing Paralympic sports in the region.
His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum personally presented the award at the ceremony.

I accept it as a symbol of respect for all those who change the lives of young para-athletes and as a deep recognition of my Homeland, Uzbekistan, where the development of inclusion and equal opportunities is a key priority. I am sincerely grateful for the exceptional hospitality, the warm welcome, and the attention I received from the very first minute. I’m very grateful to the Asian Paralympic Committee for their trust and, of course, thank you to everyone who is with me on this path”, said Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva.
At the initiative of Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, the Adaptive Sports Association was established in Uzbekistan. As a result, sports rehabilitation is expanding in the country, with particular focus on increasing the participation of women and girls with disabilities in adaptive sports.
The award recognized Uzbekistan’s significant work on the international stage and confirmed its leadership in promoting an inclusive society.
