Sergey Lebedev visits Jizzakh region

Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergey Lebedev, who heads the Observer Mission of the CIS Executive Committee, visited Jizzakh region to observe the Presidential elections.

The guest visited the specialized state school No.22 in Jizzakh, where he once studied himself. He inquired about the work carried out on the preparation and conduction of the Presidential elections at the 17th polling station located in the school.

The Chairman of the 17th precinct election commission, Shakhnoza Bazarova, provided information that 2,213 voters were registered at the polling station, 86 of whom will vote for the first time, 14 people will vote abroad, and 19 voters have voted early. Sergey Lebedev left his comments in the observer book.

“It is a great honor for me to visit the city where I was born, to visit the school where I studied”, says Sergey Lebedev. – From Moscow, I always observe the transformations taking place in Jizzakh region. I am glad of the attention paid to the region. I am very happy to be a fellow countryman of such a statesman as Sharaf Rashidov, who played an important role in the history of Uzbekistan. Jizzakh can charm anyone with its majestic mountain slopes, beautiful gardens, and a lake. As a person who was born and lived in Jizzakh, I am fascinated by the large-scale reforms taking place in Jizzakh and Uzbekistan as a whole. I believe that after the Presidential elections, Jizzakh will become even more beautiful and prosperous.

The Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergey Lebedev visited the sights of the city, new buildings and structures. Sergey Lebedev got acquainted with the work carried out in the 4th Jizzakh constituency on holding the Presidential elections.
