Uzbekistan Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov held a roundtable discussion in Seoul with the participation of representatives of large South Korean business and state corporations.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the event was also attended by the heads of companies such as Samsung Group, KIA Motors, LG Corporation, POSCO Group, Hyundai Motor Group, Lotte Group, Korea Telecom, KNOC, as well as representatives of the KITA (Korea International Trade Association) and the Korean – Uzbek Business Association KUBA.

Representatives of South Korean business voiced information about their companies and outlined their vision of future activities in Uzbekistan, noting priority areas and industries for cooperation, as well as mutually beneficial partnership mechanisms within the framework of joint projects.

An agreement was reached on cooperation with the Korea International Trade Association. It is expected that one of such initiatives will be the organization of an Uzbekistan – Korean business forum soon.
