On 16 June 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov attended the 14th Senior Officials Meeting of Central Asia + Japan Dialogue, via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The event was also attended by Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries and Special Representative of the Japanese Foreign Ministry for the region Shuichi Tokuda.

Organizational issues related to the preparation for the next meeting of the Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue in Japan were discussed.

The importance of making innovative decisions to increase the potential of Central Asia + Japan Dialogue, the implementation of new joint economic, investment and scientific-technical projects to strengthen regional cooperation and ensure the sustainable development of Dialogue partners, was noted.

Other international and regional issues were also discussed at the meeting.
