Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments and Tourism Ravshanbek Alimov took part in the event.

Participants of the meeting noted the need for enhancing cooperation and exchanging information between members of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly during the coronavirus pandemic.

They discussed the impact of СOVID-19 on healthcare, economics and its industries in Asian countries, considered modern methods of combating a pandemic, and ways to restore the economy of the region.

Senator Ravshanbek Alimov told the participants about timely and important reforms carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the Head of the state, the creation of a special commission and measures to counter the pandemic.

He emphasized the importance of international cooperation, including within the framework of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, as well as the need for uniting efforts in the diagnosis and treatment, emergency care during the quarantine.
