The Senate hosted a meeting with members of the Germany – Central Asia Parliamentary Group of the German Bundestag. The parties discussed issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, further strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.
The Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva, emphasizing the traditions and rich experience of German parliamentarism, noted the need for further developing mutual ties. As one of the important areas, special attention was paid to cooperation within the framework of the European Union’s INTER PARES project.
The German side noted that Germany pays special attention to the development of relations with Uzbekistan. This is justified by the ongoing socio-political reforms in Uzbekistan, in particular, the open policy of the country, the liberalization of foreign economic activity, and the creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurs.
At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the exchange of experience within the framework of the INTER PARES project to strengthen the capacity of parliaments, intensify inter-parliamentary relations at the level of heads of relevant committees and friendship groups.
