On September 13, a Polish delegation led by the Secretary of State, Head of the National Security Bureau Paweł Soloch arrived in Uzbekistan.
At the International Airport “Tashkent” named after Islam Karimov, the official transfer of 252 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which was donated to Uzbekistan by the government of Poland, took place. It was handed over by the Secretary of State, Head of the National Security Bureau Paweł Soloch, and the President of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves of Poland, Michał Kuczmierowski.
According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the vaccine will be distributed in all regions and used within 40 days.
The Polish delegation held a meeting with representatives of the Office of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The program of the visit also includes meetings in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The current issues on the bilateral agenda, including the development of political dialogue, expansion of trade, economic and investment ties, cultural and humanitarian exchange, promising areas of cooperation in the field of security, will be discussed. Views will be exchanged on the current issues of the international and regional agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan.
The delegation visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral of Jesus in Tashkent and laid flowers at the monument erected in honor of the General of the Polish Army Władysław Anders.
