In cooperation with Tashkent State University of Economics, the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Ellikkala district Hokimiyat, and several organizations in this district, the Second International Youth Festival “Melodies of the Desert” was organized under the motto “Together we will build a New Uzbekistan”.

It was attended by tourism specialists from Croatia, India, China, and neighboring countries, researchers, and about 1,000 students.

Foreign and local specialists organized training to develop tourism in Karakalpakstan as part of the festival.

On the territory of the Toprakkala historical complex, a drawing competition on “Together we will build a New Uzbekistan” was held with the participation of student youth, and on the coast of Akchakul – a competition of national dishes on “99 types of fish dishes”. Also, sports competitions and national sports games continued with a concert program of the festival in Akchakul Amphitheater. On the second day of the festival in Ayaz-Kala, sports games, such as wrestling, chess, checkers, and tug-of-war, were held.

During the two-day festival, active youth were awarded in various nominations.

Tashkent State University of Economics signed a memorandum of cooperation and agreements with several organizations.
