As part of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO Member States, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming met with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

Mr. Zhang Ming noted the high activity of Belarus in the activities of the Organization both in the status of a dialogue partner and in the status of an observer state in the SCO.

In turn, President Lukashenko highly appreciated the role of the Organization in regional and world affairs and expressed hope for a positive consideration of the application of Belarus for admission to the SCO as a full member state.
