On April 7, the sixth meeting of the Permanent Working Group on Science and Technology of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member Countries was held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by heads of ministries and agencies for science and technology, higher education, and innovation of Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, India, Pakistan and China.

The participants discussed the preparation and coordination of the final documents for the sixth meeting of the heads of ministries and agencies for science and technology of the SCO member states, which will be held on April 8. Plans for 2022-2025 in the scientific-technical sphere were considered. In addition, issues included in the agenda on the initiative of Uzbekistan – SCO joint program for the development of artificial intelligence and others were discussed.

The protocol of the meeting has been agreed upon and signed.
