Andijan hosted the Regional Stage of the Chemistry Olympiad in honor of Ibrokhimjon Asqarov, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the Academy of Traditional Medicine of Uzbekistan.

The district and city stages of the Olympiad were attended by 2458 schoolchildren. 250 children among them advanced to the regional stage.

18 schoolchildren became the winners in three age categories. They were awarded cash prizes for 7.2 million UZS.
