Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Minister of Planning and Economic Development of Egypt Hala Helmi El-Said.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed the current agenda of Uzbekistan – Egypt cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as measures to further intensify cooperation.

The parties agreed to create a joint group to timely implement the agreements reached and work out new areas of trade and economic cooperation.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the establishment of Uzbekistan – Egyptian Business Council.

The sides considered issues of holding the next meeting of Uzbekistan –Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and a business forum with the participation of representatives of large companies of the two countries.
