Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has held virtual talks with the Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.
The parties discussed cooperation issues, the current state of implementation of bilateral agreements, as well as the progress of preparations for the planned events at the highest level.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, during the talks, special attention was paid to the implementation of the project for the construction of the Trans-Afghan railway along the route Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar. The interest of several international financial institutions and foreign partners to participate in this project by assisting in conducting field expeditions and developing project documentation was emphasized.
The sides discussed issues of enhancing mutual trade. The importance and prospects of working out new areas of partnership for the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects were noted.
