The Director of the National Strategic Studies Institute under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sanjar Mukanbetov, stated this at the Fourth Forum of Analytical Centers “Central Asia – China”.

In his speech, Mr. Sanjar Mukanbetov focused on the dynamics of the development of regional cooperation.

The expert acknowledged that “today there is no better strategy in the region as a model of relations based on good neighborliness. This gives positive results in all areas of mutual interest”. In particular, the expert focused on the example of positive developments in the passage of border control in Uzbekistan.

“In recent years, Kyrgyzstan citizens have been going through customs control in 8 minutes using a QR code”, he stressed. “Such small innovations form the image of the country’s openness, and our citizens highly appreciate such decisions”.

At the same time, Mr. Mukanbetov focused on the growing ties in the CA+PRC format. It was noted that the long historical path with the participating countries of the format already creates an opportunity to develop joint approaches to develop relations in strategically important areas in the long term.
