A delegation led by the Rector of Italy’s Tuscia University, Stefano Ubertini, visited Samarkand State University.
The guests were met by the University’s Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Akmal Akhatov. The parties discussed opening an Italian educational center at SamSU and organizing joint academic programs for bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The parties agreed to establish an exchange of teaching staff and students, and organize short-term courses like a “summer school”. Views were exchanged on conducting scientific research on current topics and developing joint large-scale projects.
An agreement was reached to organize Tuscia Days at Samarkand State University in June this year, launch student exchange programs, and open joint educational programs.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two universities.
