A delegation from Samarkand region in China is reaching agreements to strengthen bilateral socio-economic cooperation and implement new projects.

At a meeting with investors, the head of the delegation, Assistant to the Regional Hokim for Local Industry Development Nozir Ibragimov, presented the investment potential of Samarkand region and introduced the results of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the investment environment in the region.

Members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of large enterprises. They visited a factory and plant in Xiangyang for tea production and oil processing. Agreements were reached with the city’s mayor on further cooperation with entrepreneurs.

The delegation took part in the 30th China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair, where the Uzbekistan pavilion was presented to visitors.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the People’s Republic of China Farkhod Arziyev addressed the event’s opening ceremony.
