Singapore hosted the Halal in Travel – Global Summit 2022, dedicated to the restoration and development of the tourism market of the Muslim world.

Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage addressed the event.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Samarkand, within the framework of the Global Summit “Halal in Travel Awards”, won the “Islamic Heritage Destination of the Year” and “Most Promising Muslim-friendly City Destination of the Year” awards. Uzbekistan also entered the top ten of the strongest World Muslim Travel Index, published annually by CrescentRating.
