The Embassy of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom organized virtual talks between the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) and the International University of Tourism in Samarkand.

The goal is to establish a long-term partnership between the two universities for training personnel in tourism.

The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen inter-university cooperation by establishing a mutual exchange of students, implementing the double diploma program, conducting joint scientific research, and others.

An agreement was reached to work out and conclude a memorandum with the inclusion of specific areas of cooperation.
