11:12 / 2024-05-31

The extended conference of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) 2024 will be organized for the first time in Central Asia, more precisely, in the ancient and eternally young city of Samarkand.

The Extraordinary General Assembly of the International Automobile Federation 2024 will be held as part of this conference, which will take place on June 10-13 this year.

This year’s FIA General Assembly is particularly significant as it marks its 120th anniversary.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) was established in 1904. It includes 147 member countries on five continents and is the governing body of global motorsport. Uzbekistan became a member of the FIA in 2019.

The event is planned to be held at the Congress Center of the Silk Road Samarkand Tourist Complex. Over 500 presidents of national automobile federations, representatives of motorsport clubs, and other organizations related to motorsport from 147 countries submitted applications for participation.

These days, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, the National Autosport and Karting Federation of Uzbekistan, and other responsible organizations are preparing for this prestigious conference, which will be organized for the first time in the country at a high level.
