The Ministry of Sports Development hosted an event on the preparations for the Asian Triathlon Cup Samarkand and Uzbekistan Triathlon Championship.

The event was chaired by Deputy Minister of Sports Development Shakhrullo Makhmudov. The participants considered issues such as the composition of participants, popularization of physical culture and sports, promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population through the organization of various sports events.

Responsible persons, experts of Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation and representatives of ministries and agencies expressed their opinions on ensuring the safety of participants and residents, and protecting health. Sports experts from Samarkand region, who participated in the event online, informed about the preparation.

According to Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation, applications for participation in the tournament, which is being held for the second time, were submitted by representatives of 20 countries.

The tournament will take place on 8-9 October.
