Samarkand hosts the events of the autumn session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states.

As part of the session, a meeting of the Permanent Commission of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sports was held. Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Science, Education, Culture and Sports Erkin Zokhidov chaired the event.

A draft of a new version of the Model Intellectual Property Code for the CIS countries was presented. The directions of lawmaking in digital development in the sphere of culture, tourism and sports were discussed.

The agenda of the meeting included the issues of development of model laws “On Television and Radio Broadcasting”, “On Electronic Communications in Digital Media Resources”.
