Samarkand region’s deputy hokim Dilshod Mamatkulov addressed the event and noted the importance and prospects for development of domestic tourism in the region.

The event was attended by responsible managers, heads of territorial departments of the State Committee for Tourism Development, representatives of mahallas, departments of the Agency for Youth Affairs, associations of trade union organizations. Participants expressed their opinions and suggestions on development of domestic tourism.

Uzbekistan Safe Travel Guaranteed Program was also noted at the event, confirming the implementation and availability of requirements for sanitary-hygienic safe services at tourism facilities and adjacent infrastructure, as well as tourist services, which will soon be implemented in Samarkand region.

The event also included a presentation about tourism potential of Samarkand region.
