Samarkand hosted the 11th Meeting of the Ministers of Economy and Trade of the OTS within the framework of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

The participants discussed a wide range of areas of multilateral cooperation. Further measures to accelerate trade-economic, investment, transport-logistics cooperation were defined. The prospects of investment cooperation were also considered. An agreement was reached to accelerate the signing of an agreement on the establishment of an Investment Fund of the Organization of Turkic States, which will contribute to the formation of a solid foundation for the implementation of major joint projects and initiatives. The readiness to take the most active measures to implement the trade facilitation strategy planned for signing within the framework of the upcoming First Summit of the Organization of Turkic States was expressed.

Part of the ministers' conversation was devoted to discussing the strategy for 2022-2026 within the framework of the Organization. An agreement was reached on taking concrete measures to ensure the implementation of a program document covering the development of political, trade-economic, social, cultural and security spheres.
