Samarkand hosts the “International Travel Bazaar 2023” Tourism Forum. The event, organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the forum of the year for organizers of tours and sellers of tourism services in Central Asia.

It is attended by representatives of the tourism industry from the United States, Israel, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries, as well as tour operators and guide-interpreters.

At the opening of the forum, First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ulugbek Agzamov, Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region Rustam Kobilov, Rector of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov spoke about the significance of this event and the expected results, the work being carried out in the country to develop the industry.

During the two-day conference and visits to tourist sites, participants will exchange views on such issues as the specifics of the activities of guide-interpreters, employee motivation and staff turnover prevention, promotion of brands and regions in an expedition format, education in tourism, the transformation of the city into the number one tourist area and others.

Along with this, meetings will be organized with the participation of tour operators and guides, restorers, representatives of the hotel business and tourism enterprises, the creative industry and the public sector, dedicated to travel trends.
