By the decision of Samarkand regional khokimiyat, starting March 27 from 06:00, Samarkand closed entry and exit from all districts for all types of transport.

Restrictions do not apply to freight, persons, constantly living (having permanent residence) in Samarkand, heads and professionals working in local public authorities, law enforcement agencies, directorates, institutions and organizations (non-governmental organizations) in Samarkand, doctors and nurses, employees of the State Center for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare, as well as senior officials attached to the districts by special order of the Emergency Commission of the region on epidemic.
Movement of trams and buses have been suspended in Samarkand since March 27.
