Samarkand celebrates the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence
The solemn event dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of India was held in the Eternal City complex on the territory of the Samarkand International Tourist Center “The Great Silk Road”.
Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region Rustam Kobilov, Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat and Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India Sanjay Verma noted that friendship between Uzbekistan and India has an ancient history, multilateral ties are consistently developing within the framework of international organizations. As a result, in recent years, cooperation has been strengthened in such areas as the economy, education, medicine, tourism, and others, so this year, the national holiday of the Republic of India is celebrated in Uzbekistan on a large scale.




At the festive event, songs were performed by Indian and Uzbek masters of art.
