The film directed by Umid Khamdamov “Salt Desert”, which tells about the tragedy of the Aral Sea, won the nomination for “Best Cinematography” at the Environmental Film Festival in the United States.

The film tells the story of a photographer who comes to the dead Aral Sea in search of perfect landscapes. The photographer discovers the truth, which reflects how closely the man and the sea are connected.

The author of the project of the film is Aziz Abdukhakimov, the director is Umid Khamdamov, the cameraman – Jahongir Ibragimov. Erkin Bozorov, Arzikhan Naurova and Alisher Akimov played the leading roles in the film.
