The delegation of Russia consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, leadership of several higher education institutions, led by the Deputy Head of the Department of the Presidential Administration of Russia L. Rybakov visits Tashkent.

Vice-Rectors of Saint Petersburg State University Sergey Andryushin and Aleksandr Babich met with Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uzoqboy Begimqulov.

Organizational issues related to the opening of the branch of Saint Petersburg State University in Tashkent, the implementation of new projects between Saint Petersburg State University and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, in particular, the launching of Online School Programs, professional development of teaching staff, and holding of joint Olympiads were discussed at the meeting. The roadmap for the opening of a branch of Saint Petersburg State University in Tashkent was developed following the meeting.

Representatives of Saint Petersburg State University also met with TSUOS leadership.

It was noted that the opening of a branch of Saint Petersburg State University specializing in Oriental studies will have a positive impact on the development of Oriental studies and promote the integration of universities. In turn, TSUOS leadership expressed its readiness to support and cooperate in every possible way with the branch of Saint Petersburg State University in Tashkent.
