The Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, met with the WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, in Geneva.

The parties discussed the ongoing reforms in the country, as well as the new challenges related to Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.

“We talked frankly about the progressive transformations taking place in our country, the existing challenges on the way to joining the WTO, and how important trust and partnership are. I thanked Ms. Ngozi for her leadership and support. This is an important period for global trade, and Uzbekistan is committed to its reform commitments”, Saida Mirziyoyeva noted.
