Central Park in Tashkent hosted the national Tatar-Bashkir holiday Sabantuy. This is a holiday of friendship, labor, art and sports.

According to the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this holiday aroused great interest among residents and guests of the capital.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Abdukhakimov noted that Sabantuy is not only a holiday of the end of spring fieldwork among Tatars and Bashkirs, it is a holiday that further strengthens the friendship between our peoples. More than 130 nationalities and ethnic groups living in multinational Uzbekistan have received equal conditions for the development of their language, culture and traditions.

It was noted that Sabantuy is a desired and beloved holiday of Uzbekistan citizens of different nationalities. You can meet people of different nationalities at this truly nationwide event who, along with Navruz, Independence Day and other national holidays of Uzbekistan, widely and cheerfully celebrate Sabantuy.
