Chairman of the 7th Samarkand District Election Commission for the Presidential Elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan F. Toshev met with Russian journalists who had arrived to observe the ongoing electoral process in Uzbekistan.

Guests were informed about the course of the election campaign, the activities of the district election commission, voter lists and candidates' election campaigning.

It was noted that the purpose of forming an electronic list is to ensure the implementation of the principle of “one voter – one vote”, that the electoral process is organized on the principle of openness and transparency, and elections are held for the first time based on the Electoral Code, as an experiment, polling stations are organized in each of 16 cities and districts of the region, where the opportunity to observe the elections online was created.
