The opening ceremony of the Russian Education Center took place at Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov.

Samarkand State University leadership and employees of the International Cooperation Department talked about the results of strengthening relations with education institutions of Russia. The center, opened thanks to joint efforts, will expand opportunities for students to receive education in Russian universities.

Representatives of the leading Russian universities, in turn, acknowledged that they are interested in developing bilateral relations.

“Samarkand University is one of the fastest growing higher education institutions in Asia. I was convinced of this during a meeting with the Rector of Samarkand State University last year. Cooperation between our universities is mutually beneficial. We have started working on student exchange and joint scientific research. The activities of the center will undoubtedly contribute to the expansion of cooperation”, says the Rector North-Caucasus Federal University Dmitry Bespalov.
