Within the framework of the First Interregional Cooperation Forum between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, a workshop is held on development of cooperation in agro-industrial complex.

According to S.Khojayev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at present Uzbekistan exports agricultural products to more than 60 countries of the world, including Russia.

Businesspeople from Russia have already found partners for new projects implementation. One of such companies is Niva Greenhouse, which builds and equips modern complexes in Russia and Central Asian countries. In particular, such projects are carried out in Tashkent, Bukhara and Khorezm regions of Uzbekistan.

– We are planning to cooperate with Lemon Manufacturers and Exporters Association, – says the head of the company Umar Musayev. – Within the framework of the Forum, we signed documents on a project to build a greenhouse with an area of over one thousand hectares for growing, storing and processing lemons.

The joint venture will export products not only to Russia, but also to other CIS countries. Our investments will amount to more than 100 thousand USD.
