On November 16-17, the Second Russian – Uzbekistan Educational Forum was held at Lomonosov Moscow State University with the support of the Russian Union of Rectors.
The forum is attended by the heads of ministries and organizations of Uzbekistan and Russia, presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the two countries and over 100 rectors of leading universities.
Participants are discussing the main directions of cooperation in the personnel training, issues of teaching and popularization of the Russian language in Uzbekistan, the implementation of humanitarian projects taking into account the priority areas of scientific cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, the experience and prospects of integration of educational systems of the two countries – from preschool to higher education.

Within the framework of the event, it is planned to sign memorandums of cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries.
A Memorandum of Cooperation on the further development of collaboration in education and science was signed between the National University of Uzbekistan and Altai State University. It is planned to establish an exchange of students and professors between the two universities, to participate in the implementation of international scientific projects, to prepare joint scientific and educational literature.
