A new high-precision test for diagnosing coronavirus has been developed by scientists of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, a new high-precision test for diagnosing coronavirus, which does not give a false positive reaction, has been developed by scientists of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology.

New test meets all modern requirements for sensitivity and specificity and allows to detect not only SARS-CoV-2 in one study, but also to distinguish it from similar viruses, as well as from MERS-Cov (middle East respiratory syndrome).

In addition, Novosibirsk registered a new test system for diagnosis of coronavirus with very high sensitivity. Before that, the Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova reported that on Friday they planned to register a new test system for determining COVID-19, which will give a result in 2.5 hours and significantly simplify the procedure.
