Nukus hosted an event dedicated to the International Day of Rural Women.

It was attended by women from the Aral Sea villages, selflessly working in various fields.

Problems of women living in rural areas, creating conditions for a prosperous life were discussed at the event. It was noted that women make a worthy contribution to the ongoing reforms in the country.

The UN General Assembly adopted a special resolution to draw the attention of the general public to the problems of women living in rural areas to improve their living conditions. According to it, October 15 is declared the International Day of Rural Women. This day is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan.

Gifts were presented to a group of rural women.
