Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with a member of the Board of Directors of Rotana Hotels and Resorts Hussain Al Nowais.

A high-ranking guest from the United Arab Emirates, who visited Uzbekistan for the first time, noted that he was impressed by the historical and modern appearance of the country, as well as the ongoing reforms. He proposed to strengthen cooperation in promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential.

The participation of the corporation in the 25th Session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), to be held in October this year in Samarkand, as well as projects implemented within its framework, were discussed at the meeting. The foreign guest was informed about Uzbekistan's tourism opportunities, ongoing reforms in the tourism sector, and major investment projects.

Following the meeting, Hussain Al Nowais informed about the Corporation's plans to open new hotels under the Rotana Corporation brand in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. To ensure a high level of service foreign specialists will work in new hotels, who will train local staff. In addition, a special working group of Rotana will arrive in Uzbekistan in the near future.
