The member states of the Bureau International des Expositions chose Saudi Arabia as the organizer of the world exhibition EXPO 2030.

According to Kazinform, the exhibition will be held in Riyadh from October 1, 2030 to March 31, 2031. Its theme is “The era of change together for a foresighted tomorrow”.

Korea (Busan) and Italy (Rome) applied for the right to host EXPO 2030. The host country was chosen by secret electronic voting on the principle of “One country, one vote”. Saudi Arabia was selected in the first round, receiving the required two-thirds vote (119 votes).

The exhibition was last held in Dubai under the theme “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future”. The next one will be held in Osaka from April 13 to October 13, 2025, under the theme “Creating a Future Society for Our Lives”.
