Riyadh 2025: Uzbekistan delegation becomes second in the medal standings

Today, two athletes from Uzbekistan will compete at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh. Alina Hakimova will defend Uzbekistan’s honor in duathlon, and Sevara Dilmurodova will compete for the bronze medal in Muay Thai competitions in the weight category up to 65 kilograms.

The WT taekwondo matches will start tomorrow. Uzbekistan representatives will also take part in the championships.

The Uzbekistan delegation ranks second in the medal standings with 15 gold, 17 silver, and 14 bronze medals. Türkiye leads with 54 gold, 26 silver, and 17 bronze medals, while Kazakhstan is in third place with 10 gold, 12 silver, and 13 bronze medals. Iran is in fourth place with 10 gold, 8 silver, and 17 bronze medals, while Egypt closes out the top five with 10 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze medals.
