Uzbekistan continues to increase the volume of its agricultural exports each year. In particular, there has been significant growth in the production and export of grapes.
This increase in exports has been made possible through the expansion of export-oriented grape varieties, improved logistics, the introduction of modern storage technologies, and the expansion of vineyard areas.
According to the National Statistics Committee, between January and August 2025, Uzbekistan exported 86.2 thousand tons of fresh grapes worth $78.3 million – a 64 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Russia remains the leading importer of Uzbekistan grapes, accounting for 63.4 thousand tons, followed by Kazakhstan (15.2 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan (4.5 thousand tons), and then Belarus and Ukraine. In total, Uzbekistan exported grapes to 19 countries in 2025.
The adoption of modern irrigation technologies, scientifically based agro-systems, and the development of storage and processing infrastructure for fruit and vegetable products have helped increase productivity and preserve quality over more extended periods.
