Pottery in Rishtan district of Fergana region has a long history, even today this ancient folk art is popular in the world.
The products of Fergana master potters are distinguished by their design, natural color and richness of the pattern.
Shokirjon Akhmadjanov, who mastered pottery, organized a pottery cluster. After the launch of this project worth 5 billion UZS, 30 permanent jobs were created. 3,000 people in the region were provided with home-based work.

“We signed a contract worth $5 million for the export of our products to Russia from 2022”, says Sh. Akhmadjanov. – Currently, each member of the cluster earns an average of 2-4 million UZS per month, depending on the amount of work performed.
Another potter from Rishtan, Alisher Robilov, makes ceramics and exports them to Russia. 12 apprentices are trained in his workshop.
Currently, the products of the region’s potters are mainly exported to countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Russia. To further enhance the geography of exports, negotiations are underway with entrepreneurs from the most developed countries of the world.
