Rhee Jong Kook: “Uzbekistan is the most important partner of the Republic of Korea in Central Asia”
Executive Director of Korea – Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat Mr. Rhee Jong Kook, addressing the Expert Forum “Uzbekistan – Korea: A look into the future”, held on August 23 in Tashkent, noted that over the past 30 years, the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan have made significant progress in cooperation in all spheres, including political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and humanitarian.
According to the expert, Uzbekistan is the most important partner of the Republic of Korea in Central Asia. This fact is confirmed by the fact that the country is one of the four states with which Seoul has established a special strategic partnership.
The forum, organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in partnership with the Korea – Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat, is attended by leading experts and heads of analytical centers, representatives of research and educational institutions of the two countries.
