The Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan hosts a retrospective exhibition of Maxim Vardanyan.

According to the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the vernissage covers the last 12 years of the artist’s work and includes 30 large-format works.

After working in France for 20 years, Maxim returned home to Tashkent, radically changing the format, theme, and style of work.

– In Paris, I played for a long time according to the rules of the market, I was tired, and there was a feeling of protest against the rules, – says M. Vardanyan. – I wanted to quit everything and work for myself. I changed the very attitude towards my work to regain happiness where it began to wane.

Maxim Vardanyan was born in 1962 in Tashkent. His creative path began at the age of 23 in Uzbekistan. Then he worked in Russia and Europe. In addition to exhibitions, the artist’s works were exhibited in galleries in France, Belgium, the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. His paintings are in private collections around the world. The artist collaborated with many foreign photographers.
