Uzsuvtaminot JSC has established cooperation with nine international financial organizations and a foreign company to improve water supply and sewerage services.

In this regard, a meeting was held with the participation of the Acting Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzsuvtaminot JSC J.Nurmukhamedov and representatives of international organizations and specialists.

The current state of jointly implemented projects and plans were discussed in detail. The partners received answers to their questions and voiced their suggestions on the work being carried out.

Twenty-five projects worth $2.4 billion are being implemented in Uzbekistan at the expense of international financial institutions (IFIs) and financial organizations of foreign countries.

In accordance with this, 9975.8 km of water supply network, 20 water intakes, nine water treatment plants, 260 water distribution facilities, 204 water intake wells, 143 water towers, and 145 reservoirs will be built and reconstructed in the direction of drinking water supply.

3381 km of sewerage network, 36 treatment facilities, and 306 pumping stations will be built and reconstructed in the direction of wastewater disposal.

As a result of these projects, 4.9 million people will be provided with drinking water, and 3 million people will be provided with a centralized sewerage system.
