Restaurant chain dedicated to Samarkand in Korea

The Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage delegation of Samarkand region, located in South Korea’s Seoul, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Star Samarkand restaurant chain.

According to the document, the chain’s restaurants will broadcast videos about Samarkand. The Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Samarkand region has provided the restaurant with relevant video materials. It is planned to organize a selfie zone where visitors can take pictures against the background of the products of Samarkand artisans.

In addition, to promote the culinary traditions of Samarkand in Korea, the Gastro Expert Academy (Samarkand) signed a memorandum on training highly qualified chefs, servers, and confectioners for the Star Samarkand restaurant chain.

Star Samarkand was established in the Republic of Korea in 2003. Its restaurants are visited daily by over 5,000 customers, 85 percent Korean citizens, and the remaining 15 are from Central Asia.
