On February 6, an earthquake of magnitude 7.9 occurred in the southeast of Türkiye in the province of Kahramanmaraş (according to initial reports – 7.4 magnitudes).

As a result of the earthquake, more than 6,000 structures were destroyed in the country.

Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan continue search and rescue operations.

To date, rescuers from Uzbekistan have saved 13 people from the rubble and pulled out the bodies of 33 dead.

More than 13 million people were affected in the southern regions of Türkiye.
