The event, organized by the “Mahalla” Public Charity Fund in cooperation with the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan, the Central Council of Public Youth Movement “Kamolot”, the ministries of Internal Affairs, Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Syrdarya regional khokimiyat (administration), was attended by 14 consultants from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent.

Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Chairwoman of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan E.Basithanova and others noted that in the process of reforms implemented under the leadership of the President of our country special attention is given to strengthening the role of mahalla in public and social life. As a result, the role of citizens' self-government bodies in the socio-economic development of regions, strengthening families’ strength and reliable socio-spiritual environment is increased.

In this case, of course, there is a worthy contribution of the activists, productively working as part of this unique structure, including consultants on religious enlightenment and spiritual and moral education. This contributes to expanding the importance and raising the status of mahalla in the preservation of national values, the solution of urgent problems of the population, especially young people, ensuring stable social and spiritual atmosphere, the execution of acts of legislation.

As is known, in accordance with the decree of the President of our country “On additional measures to support the activities of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan” dated May 25, 2004, in the citizens' assemblies was established the post of consultants of citizens' assemblies on issues of religious enlightenment and spiritual and moral education. It is noteworthy that more than 8 thousand 700 respected and active women with extensive life experience, who can have a positive impact on the statement of a healthy lifestyle among the population, especially among young people, the preservation and development of the best national and religious traditions and values, successfully operate in this position.

During the past period of this year, as a result of the study of social and spiritual atmosphere in families by consultants of mahalla more than 123 thousands 500 citizens were assisted in providing medical services, as well as almost 95 thousand citizens were provided with employment. At the same time, more than 149 thousands promotional activities were organized, devoted to the implications of early marriages, divorces prevention, medical examination of the family, which contributes to ensure the reliability of the families, the statement of a healthy spiritual atmosphere in the mahallas.

At the same time, by consultants in the framework of cooperation “Family - mahalla - educational institution" were held almost 65 thousand awareness-raising activities and meetings with parents of students, devoted to issues of studying the quality of education and educational work, ensuring regular attendance at lessons.

“Parent universities”, which operate at the citizens' assemblies, are an important factor in increasing the knowledge of parents about the legal, moral and spiritual and physiological aspects of education. This social structure over the past period of this year organized about 55 thousand events in which consultants actively participated.

Consultants also show initiative as members of commissions, established at citizens' assemblies on reconciliation, on adolescent issues, youth and sport, on religious enlightenment and spiritual and moral education, for work with women and make a contribution to the efficient organization of the activities of public structures. In particular, over the past period of this year, Conciliation Commission reached decision of disputable situations in over 22 thousand families.

The activities of mahalla consultants, making a worthy contribution to this good work, is highly appreciated and encouraged. This is confirmed by the fact that over the past 5 years, 78 consultants have been awarded with state awards.

The Republican Competition “Most exemplary consultant of citizens’ assemblies on religious enlightenment and spiritual and moral education”, held since 2005, by The “Mahalla” Public Charity Fund together with the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan and other partner organizations, is an important factor in the study of best experience of consultants, visibility of the achieved results.

This competition, conducted in three stages, acts as a kind of school to share experiences in areas such as the successful implementation of the assigned tasks, the execution of the State program "Year of Healthy Mother and Child", ensuring the strength of family, stable spiritual atmosphere in the mahallas, educating physically and spiritually developed youth.

The district, city stages of competition, as well as the qualifying stages, held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent - were attended by more than 8 thousand 700 consultants, who demonstrated high knowledge and experience.

This event has become for consultants a large test of skill, contributed to the popularization of implemented work, exemplary experience. At the same time, competition encourages others to the more active and successful activity. Conducting the republican stage in the regions helps consultants in the field to improve their activity.

Holding of the competition this year, on the eve of the greatest, the dearest holiday - the 25th anniversary of the state Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the slogan “My life, my destiny - my native, unique Uzbekistan!” is even more important.

The Republican stage of the competition, held on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Independence of our Homeland, was attended by members of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of ministries, state and public organizations, as well as more than 600 activists of mahalla from Syrdarya region. 14 consultants, who won in Karakalpak, regional and city stages, competed on two conditions.

According to the jury, first place was awarded to a consultant on religious enlightenment and spiritual and moral education of citizens' assemblies “Obod Yurt” in Gulistan of Syrdarya region Mukaddas Hudoynazarova. Second place was awarded to the consultant of “Yangiyul” mahalla of Kibray district of Tashkent region Rano Ergasheva, third - consultant “Yangi Beltepa” mahalla of Shaikhantakhur district of Tashkent Feruza Rahmatullaeva.

The winners and prizewinners of the competition were awarded with diplomas, certificates of honor and memorable gifts.

Concert with the participation of well-known masters of the arts gave the audience a festive mood.
