Held since 2010, the project plays an important role in improving the quality of education, strengthen the knowledge of boys and girls. The goal of the tournament, organized in four stages - at the level of schools, districts, regions and country - is to identify abilities and talents of pupils and their career guidance. The contest promotes the study of the requirements of state educational standards, evaluation of educational institutions, the ranking of districts and cities in this direction.

At the initial stage of the competition this year, more than 2 million 5-8 grade pupils demonstrated their knowledge on 16 subjects. Boys and girls with the best results got the right to participate in the final stage of the competition.

Jahongir Norboev - 7th grade pupil of secondary school №18 in Peshkun district of Bukhara region. He will take part in the upcoming International Mathematical Olympiad among schoolchildren, which will be held in Thailand in August, 2016.

At the initial stages of the intellectual tournament are tested students' ability in exact, natural and social sciences, and then - in philological.

All pupils, who have won the right to participate in the republican stage of the competition, will have a rest in a summer intellectual camp “Kuyoshli” in Bostanlik district of Tashkent region. This season, which will be held under the motto “My life, my destiny - my native, unique Uzbekistan”, are to be conducted awareness-raising activities, reflecting manifested in the years of independence, care and attention on the development of young generation, master classes with the participation of scientists, leading experts, teachers and mentors, quizzes, intellectual evenings.
